BJFF Annual Summer Football Tournament 2019
A Warm Welcome to all our Guests
On behalf of BJFF I would like to take this opportunity to welcome all players, parents, officials, spectators and all of our guests to our 2-day August Bank Holiday football festival. We are grateful to you all for choosing to come to BJFF, and we hope that you all have a fantastic day and will return to visit us next year.
This year we maintain a healthy entry of 160 teams, which means that we will be welcoming in excess of 1,750 players to BJFF during the weekend. Our main aim is to ensure ALL teams are provided with as much playing time as possible.
As you can imagine, the amount of work involved in organising a Tournament of this size is huge and I would like to thank all of the managers, coaches, parents and supporters of BJFF for their contributions in the run up to the tournament, and for all of the volunteers who are helping during the course of the weekend.
BJFF are extremely grateful for the level of support we have received from our Sponsors and Partners. I must pay special thanks to Macron, our Kit & Equipment Suppliers, and Smiths Hire, for their outstanding support in providing some of our tournament infrastructure.
We welcome you into our home – The BJFF Community Hub – which provides us with a fantastic club house facility, at the heart of the Community, with fully functioning Crossbar Café, and a base for our Tournaments. The queues will be long outside, so why not come inside and see what we have to offer – Food and Drink supplied all day.
We are providing our own Catering - Hot Food and Drinks including Burgers, Sausage, Bacon, Chips and Cold Food and Drinks including Ice Cold Slush, Cans of Pop, Lucozade, Water, Fresh Ice Cream, Ice Lollies, Candy Floss, Sweets, Crisps and Chocolate.
We have several attractions to while away some of the time in between football. Why not try your hand at our “Football target goal” (A chance to win a new shirt!), Giant Inflatables and the Boot Stall, get your players kitted out for the new season!
I would encourage you all to play, manage and spectate in the best possible spirit, adhering to the code of conduct and tournament rules. In all age groups there will be winners and losers, and whilst our referees will no doubt make some mistakes along the way, I would always urge you to respect and accept their decisions, in a sportsman-like manner.
Please check out the Pitch Map, and the General Guidance Notes for Teams, paying attention to the points highlighted.
Please remember that the purpose of our tournament is to ensure that all the CHILDREN enjoy themselves. As such I would ask that you show your support and encourage ALL CHILDREN during the weekend.
Finally, let’s hope the weather will be kind to us, and we all enjoy a fantastic weekend of tournament football at its best.
